Lauren Creel, M.S.
Education
Lauren Creel holds a Master of Science in Human Environmental Sciences with a focus on Consumer Quality Management from The University of Alabama. Her undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Science in Human Environmental Sciences with a major in Consumer Sciences and a concentration in Family Financial Planning and Counseling.
Teaching Experience
Mrs. Creel is currently an Instructor in the Department of Consumer Sciences in the College of Human Environmental Sciences at the University of Alabama. She currently teaches: CSM 104: Personal Finance and CSM 201: Individuals and Families Resource Management. In the past she has taught: CSM 204: Introduction to Personal Financial Planning; CSM 427/527: Emotional Intelligence; and CSM 507: Facilitation Skills.
Service
Mrs. Creel continues to serve as an undergraduate faculty advisor for the Department of Consumer Sciences, a role she has enjoyed for the last four years. She currently sits on the department-wide scholarship committee, undergraduate pathways committee, Honors Day Awards student selection committee, Crenshaw Leadership Academy student selection committee. She also sits on the college-wide Awards Committee and serves as the CHES liaison for the UA Career Center’s Campus Career Influencer Program.
